Well, I finally gave into the whole blogging experience. Why? For starters, I am taking only 4 classes this semester over a period of 2 days, so if you can imagine, I am pretty bored. Another reason is that a lot is changing in my life and I thought it might be therapeutic to write about it. SO....Here we go! (Forewarning: English was never my specialty, so please bear with me and my oh-so-wonderful writing skills)
What's new?
Last week was my last first day of classes, because next semester, I will be on the other side of the desk. How scary is that!
I want to see the world now more than ever. I've been to Europe before, but there are places that I still want to see. This time will be different though because I want to have a raw experience: No tour guides and no buses, just a pack and a map.
Swiss Alps
Barcelona, Spain
Prague, Czech Republic
Lastly, I wanted to know what my name means. What I came to discover is that I am definitely not supposed to be a Julie.
Origin: Latin
Meaning: Youthful, Downy, Soft-Haired.
Soft-Haired? Downy? What does that really mean?
Downy: Soft and Soothing; Delicate
When I think of Downy, I think of the fabric softener and plush Down comforters. If you really know me, then you would know that I am not Soft and Soothing. I am more direct and not afraid to speak my mind.
Fun Fact about my name: Julie was most popular in 1971. Maybe that is why I do not know very many people my age named Julie.
I told you, I have a lot of time on my hands right now. I cannot believe I am saying this, but I hope school picks up soon because otherwise, I will go crazy.
