Just a blip...

Ok, so I haven't really posted anything that has been brewing in my head in a while.  But now that I am not working at all, my sleeping schedule has been all sorts of crazy thrown off...and these late nights are when I actually think.  So I am sitting here on the floor of my bedroom, drinking a glass of wine, reading a book of thoughts that I have (and no, it's not a journal or a diary).  This is a little book that I have of my favorite quotes, bible versus, song lyrics, random inspiring things that come into my head....anywho...so I was listening to some worship music and reading my notes and I came across a quote that made me think of a conversation that my dad and I just had last night about our good ole President.  Now, I NEVER write about politics...but I just have to share this quote from George Washington.  I do have to admit something-I don't really like Washington "WHAT, So not Patriotic you say!"-I did a huge research paper over him in college and pretty much found out so much dirt on that man, whatever, I forgive him and he was a good 1st president....BUT, I do like this quote from him....

He says: "What sets the American Christian apart from all other people in the world, is that he will die on his feet fighting before he lives on his knees"

His reference is towards bowing to the monarchy of England and other kings of the world.  But, it really stuck out to me because sadly what I see is our nation falling back on it's knees and we should be fighting like our forefathers.  But anyway....enough about politics, this will be my only rant but I do ask that you think about the GW's words....he has a point.
